Annotated is a social reading platform that allows users to annotate, highlight, and discuss web content, books, videos, podcasts, and other media. The Service includes web, mobile, and browser extension applications.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You may not use another person's account without permission.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Your content: You retain ownership of the annotations, highlights, notes, and other content you create on the Service ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Annotated a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content in connection with the Service.

Annotated is designed to facilitate commentary and criticism through annotations, which we believe falls within fair use doctrine. Users are responsible for ensuring their use of third-party content complies with applicable copyright laws. We respond to valid DMCA takedown notices.

You agree not to:

• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems

7. Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms. Users can report content that violates our guidelines. We will review reports and take appropriate action.
